The Indie Board Game Awards (further on IBGAW) aim to highlight lesser known, awesome board games. It was established in October 2018 with the inaugural award ceremony to be held in October 2019.
IBGAW 2019 reviewers are:
AnnaMaria Jackson-Phelps is the Editor in Chief of Girls Game Shelf, co-host of Our Turn! Gaming for Everyone, and a reviewer for Board Game Quest. You can follow her on Twitter.
Lee Schmitz is the head geek at Geek City USA. The Geek City USA Youtube channel was established in July 2017 with its main focus being board game reviews and play-throughs.
Selwyn Ward has been writing about and reviewing games on and off for longer than he cares to mention. Over the years, he has been a contributor to Games & Puzzles, Spielbox, Tabletop Gaming and other print magazines. He contributes to the GamesQuest review blog but he is best known as the editor of Board’s Eye View, which combines reviews with innovative scrollable 360º photos that show off games and their components. Board’s Eye View reviews are all indexed and available at www.boardseyeview.net but the 360º photos are best viewed on Facebook at www.facebook.com/boardseye.
Currently we are looking for reviewers to help out with judging the IBGAW 2020 entries. The reviewers would need to assess at most ten (10) rulebooks. At most one (1) game has to be reviewed, even though it is encouraged to also review the winning entry after it has been determined.
Since there are no sponsors at the moment, there is no monetary compensation for reviewers.
If you would like to volunteer as a reviewer for the IBGAW, please send a link to your review activities to firstname.lastname@example.org.
